Applying for Funds

Thank you for the work you do and for your interest in the Forest County Potawatomi charitable giving programs. All requests for support should be directed to:
Forest County Potawatomi Community Foundation
c/o Potawatomi Bingo Casino
1721 W. Canal Street
Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53233
Proposals are reviewed on a regular basis by our charitable review committees and then submitted to the Executive Council of the Forest County Potawatomi Community.
The foundation was set up by a resolution of General Council (GC015-99) passed on February 13, 1999.
An application may come from anyone, anywhere, anytime, and may come through the Executive Council, the Milwaukee or Carter casinos or others.  The request is screened as to what area might possibly fund the request. For example, a request to sponsor a fund-raiser might be routed to marketing or public relations, or a request, received by marketing might be determined to be more appropriate to the foundation.
When a request is received by the foundation for action it is reviewed and a questionnaire is sent back to the applicant.  The foundation staff, upon review of the questions, may ask for more information, request a site visit or in some way determine whether or not the request is legitimate and serves a need in the community under the foundation's guidelines. Our goal is to complete the review process in 60 days, however some proposals require more time for consideration. Applicants will be notified by letter.
The request, once processed by staff, is reviewed by the Foundation Advisory Committee and sent on for action by the Executive Council.
All requests should provide information that responds to the checklist
